Sharks of Britain

This is just a small selection of sharks which can be found around the coasts of Britain and Ireland.
I was prompted to create this after I saw an excellent documentary series on sharks, which highlights the growing need to protect these ancient and heavily misunderstood predators. Several of the sharks in this deviation are threatened with extinction - the angel shark is listed on the IUCN Red List as 'Critically Endangered', and may even be extinct in British waters.
